1. Favorite time to workout? 
I prefer working out during the evenings, around 8PM-ish. My schedule doesn’t really permit me to be flexible with that, and I am NOT a morning person to get up early and workout. But I might bump it up to 5:30/6:00ish if workout out later becomes a problem with college and stuff.

2. Favorite place to workout? 
The gym. No one bothers me because no one knows me. :) 

3. Favorite workout shirt. 
Don’t really have one. Any of my oversized t’s will do, really.

4. Favorite workout shorts. 
Don’t wear shorts. I workout in leggings. Any of them are my favourite since they’re all soft and comfy.

5. Favorite song to listen to while working out.
I don’t have my ipod handy. But I definitely have a few favourites.

Who are your closest friends: I’m going through the process of figuring out who my true friends are right now because a lot of people just walked out on me. People who I cared so much just left or stopped caring. So yeah. But I definitely consider Brooke and Walter to be the two closest people right now.

Best place for a date? Amusement park!

Where is your fav place to shop: Ummm… I like a bunch of stores. F21, Armani Exchange, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Express, ukrainian bazaar!

Your greatest fears about weight loss.
Hmm… gaining it all back, I suppose? I don’t know. I don’t really have any fears. I didn’t allow myself get to an uncontrolled weight. I don’t have some kind of phobia about weight. I don’t have an unhealthy relationship with my weight except for low self-esteem.

Why do you really want to lose this weight? Are you doing it for you?
For me and only for me. I’ve done it for other reasons in the past and it never worked out. I’ve always wanted this. When I was younger I got pretty sick, was given medication that made me gain tons and tons of weight. My doctor recommended my parents to take me to physical therapy. They never did. And I just never took it seriously. If I could turn back time, I would have taken matters into my own hands at a younger age instead of waiting this long.

Do you binge? If so, explain why you think you do.
Not really. I only did it rarely in the past. If I got really really upset. But that was only because I would barely eat anything all day, then when it came to dinner I’d eat a ton. It was a bad habit. Like I’d go hours and hours without eating after I woke up, eat a handful of something, go hours more without eating, and then eat something HUGE. It was bad. But as for emotional binging… nah. I was never really a victim of that. I only ate because I felt like it or was bored aha. But never “out of control”. Maybe rarely.

Do your parents know you’re trying to lose weight? Do they care?
I never openly said, “hey mom dad I’m losing weight”. But they see me measuring my portions, going to the gym each day, me shrinking. I’m glad they’re keeping their comments to themselves. The last time my dad was like “Hey Lana you lost weight, good job, now you just need to workout some more and lose some more!” that was when I fell off the fitness wagon. :l LOL.  

Your workout routine.
It varies. I try to switch it up. I used to do the same thing over and over again because I thought it worked for me. I swim 2-3 times a week for 60 or 90 min. 90min is my usual swim duration. If I’m extra stressed, or felt extra lazy that week I’ll swim for 2 hours. I try to do the 30 Day Shred 2-3 times a week. And then on days when I don’t swim, I do various cardio machines at the gym, followed by a lifting circuit. I change up the machines each day though. Like one day I’ll do one type of elliptical, another day I’ll do another, another day I’ll do bike. That way I’m always working new muscle groups and they don’t get used to it. Burns more calories that way. I also warm up and stretch as a cool down. Very important! 

Did people ever make comments about your weight in a negative way?
Yeah of course. I have a few in my mind that were pretty.. hurtful. Mostly from the closest people in my life. But I’ll keep those to myself. 

What was the hardest thing you gave up during this “weight loss.”
I suppose soda? The first two weeks were definitely super hard. But now I don’t miss it or crave it. Nothing else was really.. hard. I have a good calorie intake which gives me a good variety of things to eat, including junk food if I really wanted to have some. I don’t have any restriction foods.. aside from added sugar and salt. 

Your favorite thinspo blog and why!
I don’t have one yet! I need to go through all my followers and pick a few favourites out, tbh.  

What do you normally eat?
Breakfast: Iced coffee every morning. Keeps away headaches. Oatmeal with berries, with whole wheat toast + peanut butter and sliced strawberries. Orrr a veggie egg omelet/scramble. Those are my two most eaten dishes that are quick to prepare. 

Lunch: When I’m working… usually Wendy’s chili, or a bento box/sushi, or pizza, or subway, or chinese, or russian kabobs, or salad. IDK it varies. I eat a lot of takeout during work, but I fit it into my calorie intake. When I’m at home… usually whatever. Sandwiches, soup, salads, chicken, fish.

Dinner: Usually some kind of protein (chicken, fish, tuna, beef) with veggies. Rarely will I eat rice or pasta or potatoes. 

Snacks: Chobani yogurt w/ berries and cinnamon, peanut butter + apple slices, tuna salad, fish fillet with spinach, toast with avocado spread, etc. 

Are you losing weight in a healthy or unhealthy way?
Healthy all the way! At least I try my best. I know sometimes I don’t have the perfect intake. Sometimes I’m too low. But I’m constantly working on it. 

What’s your UGW? When you expect to reach it?
96-110lbs. I’m not quite sure. I want to be a size 2 in jeans. That’s my goal, doesn’t matter what weight I am. And I want to have some curves and tones arms/legs, with a smooth stomach. Not necessarily flat. I think a tiny bit of pudge is cute.

Are you vegan or vegetarian? If so, has this helped you lose weight? If not, would you ever consider turning vegan or vegetarian?
No, and no I’d never consider it. I think I’d be nutrient-deprived if I went vegan, especially with protein. I’m currently on a high-protein diet. I wouldn’t be able to intake as much protein as I do without eating meat. I would POP if I was required to eat 120g in plant-protein. Too much bulk. And I enjoy meat, and I don’t think it’s inhumane to eat animals. And I don’t really have a problem with the way meat is processed. So um yeah. Never going vegetarian/vegan. 

When did you first decide to lose weight?
Long time ago. It has been an on and off thing for like 8 years ever since I recovered from my sickness. My most recent was May 01, 2011.  

Do you have an eating disorder?
Nope. I have a pretty healthy relationship with food and weight loss.

What food is your weakness?
It used to be Taco Bell… and then Chipotle. Oh man Chipotle is still me weakness. I haven’t had it since May!! At one point I was obsessed with Salt & Vinegar chips. I crave chocolate during my period. But if I really really really want something, I have it. I have no food restrictions. I just incorporate it into my calorie intake, and if I ate too much that day I work it off through exercise. So it’s all good. Prevents binging. And I haven’t binged since I started this. :)

When is the last time you ate fast food?
I kinda have to eat fast food at work because we don’t have a fridge. And it would be hard for me to bring in my own packed lunch/I don’t have time to really make ti each day I work. Soooo I usually opt for semi-healthy options when I eat out. Things like Wendy’s chili, lower-calorie choices at restaurants. I eat at this Russian place a lot which is more “home made” than chains. 

Favorite diet?
Of all the ones I’ve been on before, THIS ONE. hehehe. 1600 calories. High protein, low-carb. 

What was your lowest weight? How and why did you gain?
I honestly don’t remember. I remember weighing in at 90. And then 120 before/during middle school. And then the weight just krept up slowly over the years. I think I gained like 10lbs every other year. Or something like that. And then after highschool it just got ridiculous. “Freshman 15” lol… except I gained than over the course of 2-3 years and not 1. And of course the medication I was on when I was younger was the catalyst for it. Then never getting the proper physical therapy that I needed made it worse. I wasn’t able to engage in much physical activity after I recovered and started going back to school. So yeah. 

Did the media play a role in your wanting to lose weight?
I’m sure the media plays a part in everyone’s low self-esteem. 

How do you feel about the terms pro-ana/pro-mia.
I feel sorry for these people.  

Have you ever purged? If you have describe your first experience.
No, never. I think throwing up is one of the WORST experiences ever. I would never ever ever even consider self-purging. Ughhh. I don’t understand how some people can do that. Just….. blows my mind. 

What excites you most about reaching your ugw?
Being myself without people giving me a WTF look. Being able to wear what I want and look decent in it. Right now I have to dress my body, so obviously I can’t wear what I want. Only flattering clothing for my body type. I’m hoping I’ll come “out of my shell” more once I reach my goal weight. But I know simply reaching my UGW isn’t going to do that for me. It’s an inner change which I really am working on as well. :) 

How do you deal with being around food?
Doesn’t tempt me anymore. And if I feel like indulging, I do. It’s no big deal. I have an easy time saying no when I know I just ate and I know I’m not hungry. I don’t like the overly-full feeling. But if my parents bring pizza home and I haven’t eaten yet.. heck I’ll have a slice! It’s all good as long as I stay within my calorie range.

Do you want that “gap” between your legs? Why?
IDK. Not really. Maybe a small one? It depends what my body will look like once I’m a size 2. I don’t want to be stick thin. And most of these girls with a gap between their thighs have wide hips. That’s why some have bigger gaps than others. I’d rather have narrower hips and no gap, than wide hips and a large gap. It’s whatever I’ll have is what I’ll be happy with. Having a gap isn’t going to make or break my happiness.  

Your definition of beauty.
It’s the total package. Beauty is more important on what’s on the inside, but what’s on the inside also reflects what’s on the outside (aka your actions, the way you carry yourself, the way you dress). If you dress like a slut and act like a slut and wear 100lbs of makeup.. that’s not beauty IMO. I think natural is beautiful.

Meaning behind tumblr url: My main blog is ‘inspiredbythisfeeling’. So when I decided to make a public weight loss blog, I just branched off that name and came up with ‘inspiremethin’. I was surprised it wasn’t taken. ^-^

Favourite band/singer: Don’t have one. I like too many various bands, singers, and genres to just be able to pick one. Right now I’m into pop-for working out, and punk rock music because it’s fun and upbeat, and not depressing. :3

Favourite movie: Again, too many to name. I simply don’t have a favourite. But for the heck of it I’ll go with POTC! Johnny Depp = ♥ And I can’t wait to see this last one!

What do you hate the most: Obnoxiousness, ignorance, rudeness, too much cockyness, liars, etc.

Obsession: Don’t have one anymore. Used to be web/graphic design/forums. But now I’m pretty much over it. I guess… nutrition and healthy and fitness? I’m not “obsessed” with it. But I do enjoy it. 

What do you want to be in a future: Happy, as cliche as that sounds. I’m studying to be a radiologist. But honestly? This tumblr has kind of made me realize how educated I am on nutrition and fitness. And I think I’d actually love to be a nutritionist/dietitian/fitness coach. I think it’d enjoy it. Maybe? But I honestly don’t want to change my major anymore. It would be the second time. =\
