Sweetie, be real with yourself. You’re not going to stop eating junk food. You’re going to go out with friends, go to birthday parties, and have days where you don’t give a fuck about anything. And you will eat junk food. Saying you’re not going to eat junk food is just setting yourself up for failure.
Nothing annoys me more than those stupid monthly goal images which say things like, “this month I vow to go to the gym EVERY SINGLE DAY, and to NEVER BINGE, and to NEVER EAT JUNK FOOD.” because it’s not practical. It sets a person up for disordered behavior and will make them feel shitty when they give into their cravings.
Stop thinking of weight loss as an 8-week diet plan. Short term “solutions” do not keep the weight off. You need to establish healthy eating and activity habits as your lifestyle. Otherwise you’re going to end up back at square one.
