y Changed my track. Ran on the high school track today. It was…. different. I definitely felt a huge difference compared to the softer, middle school turf. It was a bit harder to run on, but I like the stability. The middle school track is a mix of gravel and dirt and some other stuff. It’s firm-ish, but definitely a softer landing, and definitely less stable. Especially if their track team tears it up and it becomes uneven. I think I prefer the high school track tbh, LOL. And now I know I can go there during school hours. Which means I’ll probably make Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays my run days because there will be less people on the track. Don’t have to worry about a quarter of the school staring me down.
Not too much  improvement yet. Then again today has been a bit of an off day after getting home at 5AM last night. LOL… It still takes a lot of effort to run the full mile. But I can feel myself getting more used to it. I can alternate walk/jog for more laps than I could before. After a short rest/walk the fatigue subsides and it’s like jogging fresh again. When I started I wasn’t able to do that.
LOL all of these reflections probably sound dumb but it really helps me to track my progress this way. :)) Looking forward to see how far I go in April!
