Inspire Me Thin

Hey there! I have been asking a few inspirational blogs the same questions because I want different opinions! But okay I am 5’0” and my SW was 130. I have lost about 7 pounds since mid-January which I think is pretty good progress so far. I’ve hit kind of a rough patch where I can’t get past 123 (CW) and I’ve been doing a lot of binging/snacking this weekend. What should I do to stay on track and get past this hump? I’d like to be down to 110 by summer which I think is a fairly reasonable goal.

First of all, congrats on 7lbs! That is really good progress. It’s over 5lbs in just a month!! That’s awesome. :)) It’s normal to hit a plateau as you reach a lower BMI. I would need to know more information about your lifestyle in order to give you a better answer. But generally speaking. Making sure you’re eating enough. If you’ve been undereating then it’s possible you slowed down your metabolism so your body simply isn’t burning as much and is inhibiting fat storage. One weekend of a binge/snacking isn’t going to rerail you. If you’ve been undereating, it actually helps. I suggest you prevent yourself from binging by eating enough calories, and eating healthy balanced meals. Try upping your calorie intake by 200 calories to help your metabolism. If you’ve been doing the same exercise routine, change it up! Ramp up the intensity of your workouts, try a different cardio workout, throw in some strength training, or flip your strength training duration with your cardio. (Meaning instead of 60min cardio and 20min strength, do 20min cardio and 60min strength). Stick it out 2-3 weeks and see how the scale reacts. And always remember, the number on the scale doesn’t represent your body composition. So although it may stay the same, it doesn’t mean you’re not losing body fat. Good luck dear! :))
