Help.. I have been doing really well and I had a huge spike in stress just before my wiegh in. I had gained five pounds in two days without a change in my routine. I weighed in this morning and that gain is gone with a loss of on other pound. Is this a Cortisol stress thing?
It’s just your body weight fluctuating. The weight gain is probably just water retention due to whatever reason. (higher sodium, less water, less activity, higher amount of carbs, higher grams of food consumed, less waste expelled, change in sleep, change in weather, etc etc). Body fat loss can’t be measured by the scale on a day-to-day basis. Changes happen over a longer period of time and aren’t momentary like the changes you’re describing. Don’t worry about it. Just keep sticking to your routine. :)
