I normally want to go walking at night, but my dad won't let me go alone, and he doesn't want to go (I don't have any friends in the neighborhood). What do you do suggest I do?
IDK. I’m not one to go against parental rules. Honestly I wouldn’t go walking alone in my neighborhood either, and it’s considered one of the safest areas here.
But try to reason with him/give him an ultimatum. Tell him if he won’t let you walk that it’s not fair, then ask him to get you something to compensate likeeee a workout DVD or a gym membership or a treadmill hint hint nudge nudge, or something like that. That way you’re still benefiting from some kind of activity without making him worry.
++Another suggestion could be to get your dad to drop you off at a friend’s house. Arrange to walk together and then get the other parent to drop you off, or vice versa.
