Something meaty and fatty! The other day I had a small portion of grilled chicken sauted in coconut oil which helped ease some minor bedtime hunger/cravings. Digestion slows everything down because it is a parasympathetic system, so it will help you sleep given that what you’re eating isn’t stimulating or giving you digestion issues. A scrambled egg is typically safe.
Opt for something warm.
Something like 1/2 a mashed sweet potato with a little bit of warmed butter and heavy cream (optional herbs) will also do the trick. Though be careful with the late night carb intake as the sudden energy could make you restless. But mashed potatoes used to get me to sleepy pretty easily which is why I’m suggesting it.
You could also try a warm cup of herbal tea, like Chamomile. I hope this helps. :)
Well, that’s just silly. I used to be a minimum-sodium freak last year. But not anymore. Since I don’t eat processed food which is naturally preserved with a shitton of salt, my salt intake in naturally low. So I’m not afraid to salt my food to taste. Obviously I don’t go overboard with it. Too much salt tastes gross and is unpalatable.
